So You Want to Be an Official Co-Schemer?
Or maybe you want a few details first…
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Current or recent undergrad students. Naturally, we’re looking for theatre students, but if you’re passionate about what we’re doing, we won’t hold it against you that you’re studying something else!
Passionate artists, creators, collaborators and innovators who like the Drama Farm vision and want to make it happen.- Young theatre professionals with the skills to build something new and unique in a largely self-motivated environment. We’ll be here to offer guidance and suggestions, but YOU build the program.
What your commitment would entail:
- Working with us now to discuss the skeleton structure of the program. Mostly online forum and email discussions, with a possible conference call every now and then.
- 2 months on a farm in Pennsylvania (just outside of Pittsburgh), working and playing with your fellow Co-Schemers to create a theatrical production. Exact dates TBA, but probably June & July ‘09.
- Expenses. Ideally, we hope to cover all of the program costs, so your only costs will be travel, housing and food while you’re here.
- A willingness to rough it out here - we won’t have a lot of money, but with some creativity, ingenuity and hard work, we’re going to create something remarkable!
What you’ll get in return:
- Professional theatre artists to advise you and help you perfect your art.
- New friends and industry contacts you didn’t have before.
- The chance to be a part of creating something that’s never been done before.
- Easy access to all of Pittsburgh’s cultural resources and events.
- Some really cool Drama Farm swag.
- An experience you’ll never forget.
Sound like something you’d like to be a part of? There’s no commitment to anything long-term right now. If you think you might be interested, let’s talk! Come be a part of our community as we make this thing happen - we’ll take as much or as little of your input as you can give!
If we haven’t scared you off yet, drop us an email! Tell us a little about yourself - who you are, what you do, and how you’re interested in being a part of the Drama Farm. You can also join our forum, and subscribe to our blog via RSS or email. Join in however suits your fancy - we can’t wait to hear from you!

You know I’d do anything to work with you again, but this just sounds awesome! Count me in.
