The Students
Our ideal students are intelligent and highly-driven juniors, seniors and recent graduates who are seeking an intensive, challenging and entirely different educational experience than any they have already pursued. They’re comfortable standing on the solid base their education has given them, and they’re thinking forward to their careers in the professional world - but they’re not quite prepared to take that leap without the safety net of an educational environment around them. They want a stepping stone, a halfway-point between those two worlds - that’s what the Drama Farm would provide for them.
We would accept a group of roughly two dozen students per semster, to fill all of the positions in a single production - primarily actors, designers, technicians, and managers. We wouldn’t restrict our admissions to these fields, however; if a student was particularly interested in marketing, the program could be tailored to include a position specifically for the PR and marketing of the production. Similarly, students from other disciplines would be welcome to apply - productions could be planned to accommodate a student trained in art, writing, or even robotics, if they were interested in applying their skills to a theatrical production.
